The PPG Story

Pellegrini Performance Group (PPG) was built on more than just a passion for cars—it was born from a lifelong bond between a father and son, united by track days and a shared vision for what automotive performance should be.

For Jay Pellegrini III, cars weren’t just a hobby—they were part of his upbringing. He grew up watching his father, Jay Jr., race and build cars from the ground up. Jay III’s first time behind the wheel he raced a go-kart on a dirt road and ended up off the track. His mom quickly stepped in and put a pause on his racing dreams.

Determined to get back into a racecar world, Pellegrini finally had the opportunity and means to pursue his dream 8 years later. Being able to race with his father on the same track was not only special for Jay III, but became the opportunity to learn from each other about race setup and tactics.

That return would eventually lead to the creation of PPG, a full-service performance and restoration shop based in Madisonville, Louisiana. But this wasn’t a solo journey. Together with Jay Jr. and longtime friend and business partner John Baldwin Jr., the idea for PPG became a family legacy.
Today, PPG operates out of a 25,000-square-foot facility that’s part workshop, part community.

Whether it’s tuning a modern performance vehicle, restoring a classic, or welcoming fellow enthusiasts into the on-site clubhouse, everything about PPG is rooted in authenticity, quality, and connection.
